Filming at Gold Hill?

The most-recent feature-length production to shoot at Gold Hill was "Stagecoach Santa" (2010).  Both the locomotive and depot are available to entertainment production companies for both film and television work.  The high-concept, special-effects intensive short film, "The American" is in pre-production and plans to shoot in 2012.  We offer over 180 deg. of backstopped sight lines and period signage from 1870 forward.  Period re-enactment groups in full period costume with film experience are nearby locally and in Grass Valley, California.  3 ton lighting and grip is available out of Reno.  Email to stough@goldhillnv.org for details.

Are you looking for historical research related to Gold Hill?  We do not posses or have access to any historical records.  Most surviving records are in the possession of the County and the Nevada Historical Society (Reno).  If you need to engage a researcher on your behalf, click here for a list of professionals who are authorized access to the museum stacks that are not open to the general public.
